Nick Wood was born in Louisville, Kentucky, where he lived for much of his life before relocating to Northern Kentucky just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. Growing up in a competitive household with three brothers, Nick developed a strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset through sports. He attended the University of Pikeville, where he played collegiate baseball for four years and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English.
Nick went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. During law school, he focused primarily on transactional law and served in the Small Business Clinic, providing legal assistance to local entrepreneurs and members of the community.
After graduation, Nick worked for LexisNexis for two years before moving to Lexington, Kentucky, following the birth of his first child. While working as a paralegal, he studied for and successfully passed the Kentucky Bar Exam in 2025.
Outside of his legal practice, Nick is committed to physical fitness and holds certifications as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. He also enjoys snowboarding, reading, going to the movies, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
