Parker Mincy represents homeowners and injury victims at Denham Law, working out of the firm's Lexington, Kentucky office. He focuses on first-party property insurance litigation, standing up for policyholders whose claims have been denied, delayed, or underpaid.
Before joining Denham Law in September 2026, Parker spent six years at the Department of Public Advocacy in Lexington. There, he represented more than 3,000 clients in serious criminal matters across Kentucky's Circuit and District Courts, trying over 20 cases to verdict, including six murder trials. He was selected to attend the National Criminal Defense College, a two-week trial practice training program reserved for a limited number of defense attorneys each year. He then moved to private practice where sat for 9 more trials and represented the accused all over the state.
Parker earned his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law in 2019. As an editor of the Syracuse Journal of Science and Technology Law, his article on smart contracts, cryptocurrency, and the Uniform Commercial Code was selected for publication. He also served as a research assistant to Professor Robin Paul Molloy, whose scholarship covers real estate transactions, land use, zoning, and disability law, and worked with the New York State Technology Commercialization Program, helping local entrepreneurs and startups protect and commercialize their inventions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with an emphasis in neuroscience, from Florida State University (2014), where he was inducted into Psi Chi, the international psychology honor society.
Parker is admitted to practice law in Kentucky and has been a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has served as a judge for the Kentucky State Moot Court Competition, and his trial work has been covered by the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Parker brings a trial lawyer's instincts to a new fight. "Insurance companies are bullies," he says. "I fought the government — the biggest bully there is for a long time and won. I'd like to use what I learned fighting that bully to fight this new one." For homeowners with a denied or underpaid claim, his message is direct: he will listen, and he will do what it takes to help.
Outside the office, Parker is a Kentucky transplant many times over born in Indianapolis, raised in Atlanta, and educated at The McCallie School in Chattanooga, where he won multiple state lacrosse championships before playing in college until an injury ended his career. He still gets out on the field when he can and spends his free time rock climbing at LEF and Red River Gorge, tending a large collection of houseplants, building custom computers and mechanical keyboards, and working on 3D-printing projects. He is an avid reader, with Tolkien, Brandon Sanderson, Frank Herbert, Chuck Palahniuk, and David Foster Wallace among his favorite authors. He is also a life-long Notre Dame football fan and tries to go to a game every year.
Parker lives with his partner Stephaney, whose son is in UK’s engineering program, and their two cats, Spooky, and Biscuit.
